Which pets are allowed in the cabin
Domestic U.S. flights allow a wider range of animals than international routes. Check your itinerary against the list below before you book.

Frontier follows current DOT rules closely, and the distinction between a service animal and an emotional support animal changes what you pay.
Trained service dogs
Fly free in the cabin at your feet with no carrier required, provided you submit the DOT Service Animal Air Transportation Form at least 48 hours before departure. Up to two service dogs are allowed per passenger.
Emotional support animals
No longer recognized as service animals under current federal rules. ESAs travel under the standard pet policy — meaning the $99 each-way fee and full carrier requirements apply.

Frontier charges $99 for an in-cabin pet, each way, per pet. The fee is non-refundable and can be paid when you book or at the airport check-in counter.
Can I bring my pet as checked baggage or cargo?
No. Frontier only transports pets in the cabin, under the seat in front of you. There is no cargo or checked-pet option on this airline.
What size carrier do I need?
Hard-sided carriers must stay within 18" L × 14" W × 8" H. Soft-sided carriers can go up to 18" L × 14" W × 11" H, and the combined weight of your pet and carrier should stay under 17 lbs.
Are emotional support animals still free to fly?
No. Current federal rules no longer classify ESAs as service animals, so they now fly under the standard pet policy and the $99 each-way fee applies.
How far in advance should I book my pet's spot?
As early as possible. Frontier caps the number of pets allowed per flight, and those spots can fill quickly around holidays. Call our agents to confirm availability before you finalize your travel dates.
