Delta Air Lines operates exclusively out of Terminal 1, also known as the Lindbergh Terminal, at Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport (MSP). This applies to every Delta flight — whether you are flying domestically to Atlanta or internationally to Amsterdam or Tokyo-Haneda.
MSP has two terminals roughly one mile apart. Terminal 2 (Humphrey Terminal) serves Sun Country Airlines and Southwest Airlines only. As a Delta passenger, you will never need Terminal 2 unless connecting to those carriers.

Terminal 1 has seven concourses (A–G). Delta primarily occupies C, D, F, and G for mainline and international flights.
Pro Tip — Concourse C Underground Tram
Concourse C is the longest in Terminal 1 — walking the full length can take over 10 minutes. Take the free underground tram instead. It has three stops and runs continuously throughout the day.
Delta offers four ways to check in at MSP. Choosing the right method can save you 15–20 minutes before your flight.
Online / App Check-In
Opens 24h before departure. Download your boarding pass in the Fly Delta app — skip every queue at the airport.
Self-Service Kiosks (Level T)
Fastest for travelers with bags to check. Print your pass, tag your luggage, and hand it off at the bag-drop counter.
Full-Service Counters (Level 2)
Best for complex itineraries or special assistance. Lines peak 5–8 a.m. on weekday mornings.
Sky Priority & Curbside
Available outside Terminal 1 and on Level T for Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion members.
Security Checkpoints
Terminal 1 has two checkpoints on Level 2: the North Checkpoint (Concourses D & E) and the South Checkpoint (Concourses C, F & G). Most Delta passengers use the South Checkpoint. Both offer TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lanes for faster screening.
Arrival Timing
Delta recommends 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international departures. During peak travel periods or winter storms, add 30–45 minutes.
All Delta arrivals deplane into Terminal 1, Level 1. Follow overhead signs to baggage claim — digital displays show the correct carousel for each flight number.
🏠 Domestic Arrivals
Proceed to Level 1 via escalators or elevators. Carousels are clearly labeled. Delta's Baggage Service Office is on Level 1 for delayed or damaged luggage claims.
🌐 International Arrivals
All international flights arrive through Concourse G. Proceed to CBP on Level 1. Global Entry kiosks available. Once cleared, follow signs to the shared baggage claim area.
Global Entry Tip
Enroll at the Global Entry office near Carousel 11, Level 1. For frequent international travelers through MSP, this can save 45+ minutes per arrival at customs.
MSP has three Delta Sky Clubs — more than most Delta hubs in the country. Each features complimentary food, beverages, Wi-Fi, and premium seating.

MSP's largest Sky Club with seating for 450+ guests. Features a first-of-its-kind outdoor Sky Deck, Minnesota lake-inspired design with sage greens and copper tones, soundproof work booths, and premium beverage selections.

The $242M program renovated six concourses and all 75 Delta gate areas — new terrazzo flooring, refreshed lighting, dynamic digital signage, expanded seating with power outlets at every gate, and modernized restrooms. The $305M Concourse G expansion adds 157,000 sq ft between gates G8 and G13.
New Route Alert
Delta launches nonstop MSP to Maui (HNL) service on December 19, 2026 — operated on the Airbus A330-300, making MSP a new gateway to Hawaii from the Upper Midwest.
Terminal 1 offers one of the best airport dining experiences in the Midwest. The MSP Mall — a central hub of restaurants and retail — sits between Concourses E and F, accessible post-security to all Terminal 1 passengers.

Fast-casual to full-service restaurants. Concourse C has the widest variety. Concourse G suits long international waits with full-service options.

METRO Blue Line Light Rail
Most RecommendedThe Blue Line station sits directly underground beneath Terminal 1 — take the elevator from Level 1 baggage claim. No shuttle needed. Downtown Minneapolis in 28 minutes. Runs 24/7. Free between terminals.
⚠️ The Blue Line goes to downtown Minneapolis, not St. Paul. For St. Paul: transfer to the Green Line at Target Field, or take a rideshare directly from MSP.
Rideshare
Uber & Lyft pickup on Level 1 curbside after baggage. Consider flat-rate car service in winter to avoid surge pricing.
Taxis
Queue at Level 1 ground transportation. Typically $35–$50 to downtown Minneapolis depending on traffic.

Terminal 1 connects via skyway to Gold, Green, Blue, Red, Silver, Pink, and Brown parking ramps — walk indoors in any weather. Gold Ramp Level 3 is the closest for hourly parking. For multi-day trips, the off-airport Quick Ride lot offers lower rates with frequent shuttle service.
Minnesota Winter Travel
The skyway-connected ramps mean you can walk from your gate all the way to your parked car completely indoors. Delta's MSP ground crews are also renowned for one of the most efficient deicing operations in the country.
